Minus 20 F always does it for me
I got the k2 standard from your top beginner board beginning of last season 30+ days of snowboarding I live in Cali, what would you recommend for my next board?
I don't ride parks 🙃
An intermediate board.
Ride Deep Gungis
Thinking on the huck knife or the pro , is it better to have a wide or regular, for reference I’m 210lbs, 5’9 1/2, and I’m a size 9.5 Boot I wanna be able to carve with it too tho ,
9.5 boot you don’t need a wide.
Bro Iam 1.83cm tall, 90kg , intermediate rider. What you think about genesis step on bindings, walth step on boots size 11 in a custom camber 2024 size 158W? Good combo?
I don't think about them.
?
Thank you Avran. As always much appreciation for the feedback.
I'd love ride the Ultralight just to experience the ride. It may kill me but at least I'd go down flying
It’s a rad board for sure, but I still preferred the ride on the K2 Alchemist overall. That said, the Nidecker might be a better choice if you’re heliboarding and heading to some serious steep alpine spines. If I were fully reliant on a board to get me out of an avalanche situation before getting swept away, I think I’d take the Nidecker instead haha
My interest is piqued 👽
Would you buy a board like this or go with a less expensive option like k2, capita or Weston for a Japan specific trip. Although, I'd still like it to have some capability for more normal terrain. Thank you for any feedback.
Depends on what you want to spend and how much you're going to ride it. Me personally I'd just take my Endeavor Archetype to Japan and have a blast.
I can pick these up for 100 bucks, but wondering if it would be worth spending a bit more for something more comfortable. Not a fan of calf bite
It's your ride.
My dad is not a knee surgeon I say that cause he made broko first off it’s spelled broko not broco get it right and his bindings are grea.
Your dad is a fucking retard and the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Kazu pro or k2 passport. I used to compete so I know what I’m doing, but is comparing these two boards regarded?
Must be the best snowboarder on the mountain then.
@@AngrySnowboarder so I’m retarded?
I’m used to riding the Super DOA 2024 with Burton Malavitas 2024. I want to make the change to the Union force team bindings with the Salomon 2025 Huck Knife Pro. Will the change take some time to getting use to?
If you know how to ride no, if you don't, probably.
Whats wrong with the screws on clew? as in its too short?
Literally everything.
Have you really not reviewed the never summer harpoon?
Why the fuck would I ride crap.
Really torn between this and the lib dynamo.
Torn between the dynamo and gnu hyper
I am ashamed and confident enough to say that I am guilty of one of those sins
what board is that hanging up behind you on your right? It looks almost like ride zero, but with a better graphic
I have had this board for a while (black/yellow, previous year model, 159). 5’10, 175+ lbs, size 9W boots, Union Falcors. I love almost everything about it, but am looking for a 2nd board better for the deeper powder days (Wasatch Mts etc) while not compromising performance on steeper/technical terrain too much. I have been considering the Korua Dart, Korua Dart Plus, BSOD, Jones Storm Chaser, Ultra Flagship, etc. What 2nd freeride, more powder-capable board would you recommend pairing with my Mega Merc?
Why not just get a real powder board. Out of what you have listed the only one that stands out is the Storm Chaser and that's probably too far into the powder spectrum than you want to go so I'd say go to the Storm Wolf instead.
Who’s making camber 2.0? What models are known for camber 2.0?
Watch the reviews see what we say during the camber section after the intro.
How would this board handle powder?
It's a twin park board so wouldn't be my first choice for that.
Just bought the 2024 since its on sale, we shall see
Juggalo? Now nobody will want to shred with me! Thanks UA!
Woop Woop?
You got the faygo?
how this compare with capita aeronaut?
It doesn't.
@AngrySnowboarder What temperature is considered too high to safely store a snowboard? Would a garage that reaches 98 degrees be too much? Or am I overthinking it?
Wouldn't be ideal.
Theoria Apophasis- For how magnets work.
28:49 Munford snowboard lists the camber profile as "regular or hybrid" what? 😆 which is it? Ride fast, eat ass? It's more like ride Ass eat it fast. It's probably a snowboard company ran by skiers.
I just picked up an Arbor Candle Rain, and looking for bindings to match it. Was considering Union Falcors, but these look promising. What would be your recommendation?
Falcors aren't stiff enough for that board. These are far better.
@@AngrySnowboarder wow, that is definitely surprising. I appreciate the input man. Looks like I'll go with these for it. I just nabbed a Nidecker Mosquito too, and was gonna run Flacors on that. You think those are appropriate for it, or should I look at something else?
No those are solid for that board.
@@AngrySnowboarder thanks so much for taking the time my man. Your info is greatly appreciated.
How it compares to Bataleon Goliath +? Is it better for carving?
It's more responsive and lively, engages on edge better as you don't have an elevated contact point like with Bataleons 3Bt.
@@AngrySnowboarder Thanks for reply. And the Super DOA will probably be softer and easier to maneuver than the Merc (or Mega Merc) since it's more freestyle oriented, right? Looking for all mountain board mainly for riding and occasionally park/buttering
Splitting hairs there.
@@AngrySnowboarder Hah, all right. I think I already know which one to choose, thanks.
Hey men hope you doing well i would like to have a chat with you cause im considering buying this exact board so i hope you don’t mind to have a quick conversation about it P.S : thanks for the video that was dope
You can leave a comment like everyone else or go to our store and hire us through the personal shopper.
@@AngrySnowboarder it’s alright do you recommend this board or some other boards for a intermediate rider that wants a allmountain board with the ability to jib and jump
Did you watch the review? Yes? Then your answer is in there. No? Time to go watch it.
Hi angry🤘🤘.. I just looking for full carving board. I m between blade ,blade plus and cafe racer…. I can carve. Mostly asian style carving. I need damp stable board for uneven train. Which on you recommend.Tnx….your videos always help.
How stiff do you want to go?
@@AngrySnowboarder 7 to 10...no freestyle..just carving.
Blade Plus
This deck is considered Volume Shifted correct? I ride a 166 im 200lbs, riding big mtn etc, the 162 would be okay?
You might want the 58.
@AngrySnowboarder really hey? I heard we only drop about 5cm with this board
@AngrySnowboarder also heard this board isn't as good for riding switch? I'm 6ft5 200lbs give or take, would the ride berzerker 163 be ideal? I ride a capita 164 back in 2015, found i nosed in alot on pow landings
Hey Avran, I’m currently searching for a board to get more into freestyle. I’m searching for a board to press and butter around the whole mountain and take it to the park to get some practice on features. I’m not sure if the sleepwalker is a bit too niche (for jibheads) of perfect for this 😄 I also thought about the Nitro T1 and Huck Knife. Any recommendations? Love goes out from good old Germany 🤙🏼
All three are solid options.
Liberache? That man took it off a cliff--I believe--at Malibu Canyon.
I just bought new gear. Last time I bought snowboard gear before now was late 90s. I bought new everything for a trip to Argentina and then Japan. I haven’t ridden since 2017, and before that it had been 9 years since I rode. In 2017 I rode my Burton custom from late 90s, wore all my gear from then too, except boots and googles cause both of those were toast. My goggles melted in my hand when I got to the mountain and I had to ride in sunnies. And my boots were also disintegrating. :( Crazy, cause all my gear still worked, I looked legit 90s retro, and I still burned everyone down the mountain and had ski patrol telling me to slow down. I grew up riding in Tahoe, so it’s still like second nature. I’ve been living in Hawaii 25 years that’s why I don’t ride, but I surf everyday still. Anyways, I got me one them there Orcas based on a recommendation from my surfer buddy’s grandson who’s a sponsored grom in Alaska. I thought I’d never go LibTech again since they sucked compared to Burton growing up, but he says the tech has finally caught up and now Burton sucks. So I’m kind of excited to see what this new tech is all about. I’m gonna bring my OG custom with me too just in case I don’t like the newer boards. I grew up on full camber, never worried about catching edges, never thought about it and it never really happened. But the idea of having a set back, volume adjusted, board with a floaty nose in pow sounds pretty rad to me. My Custom also worked just fine, or maybe I never knew the difference. Anyways I’m excited about new shit, it’s been like 27 years. But you’re right, it won’t get used enough! :(
You're the best snowboarder on the mountain.
@@AngrySnowboarder ha ha. My one move now is competent ass hauling. I think it’s being called jacket flapping these days… but I’m gonna try to get a little surfy on this little Orca if I find some Japow. Not sure what Argentina in august will entail, but I hear they’ve just got a big dump, and it’s the biggest early season dump in a decade. 🤞🤙🤙✌️
An honest review. Thank you.
That "whole generation of kids who cant turn a snowboard" mention is so on point. These kids can pretzel anything but cant hold an edge and it is incredible to witness
Dude i want to see some hemp boards. Been growing the last year. Its a very fast growing plant, and gets woody fast. In half a year you basically have a whole tree.
Been done, not as good as you think.
@@AngrySnowboarder guess bamboo is the way to go as far as fast renuable resource.
Bamboo and Paulownia mixed with poplar, birch, etc. Hemps cool but for the most part every brand that's built with it has had the same reaction it really doesn't improve the ride.
The thing with hemp is that in order to make “wood” with it, the stalks have to be shredded into fibers with some of the excess discarded, and then you have to use a proprietary process to mold the fibers into a wood plank using protein resins to bond it together. Then after that it needs to be finished and laminated for snowboard use…… it’s actually a super time consuming process and it amounts to using overpriced particle board in the snowboard core. I think with minimal usage there might be some application for it in snowboarding, but compared to Pawlonia, Aspen, Beech, Ashwood, Balsa, Bamboo, etcetera I doubt it’ll ever be as widely used for core material. We already know what’s working really well with regards to renewably grown trees for making wood cores 😉👍🏼
@@narrowistheway77 righ on thats pretty much what I figured was going on with it.uness someone grows a massive hemp plant and can mill boards out of it,even then it seems like it might not be the best material. Maybe if we find some long lost dinosaur weed weeds that's huge
Great to have you back. I have to disagree with the Archetype, I know a lot of people think they are great on groomers as well. It is amazing in powder and my number 1 choice but for groomers it's way too soft, I'd fold the nose. I find that all the endeavor boards are on the softer side of the scale.
The Freecarver 6000 is hands down the best board I have ever owned. I also bought the Peace Seeker towards the end of last season in New Zealand, and it definitely turns on a dime and is a lot of fun, but I found the nose a bit too sloppy to be ridden as hard as the Jones.
@angrysnowboarder what size was the board you ride? I’m thinking about a 155 but I saw waste/tail is thinner than DOA and I’m already hanging over a bit on my DOA which is a 156. Not sure if i should go 155 or 157.
They make a wide next season.
@@AngrySnowboarder thanks! I didn’t realize since I was looking at last years on Evo. I think that jump in width is a bit excessive for me. Would that waste width difference from 252 (156 DOA) to 250 (155 Aeronaut) be noticeable?
Reach down and pluck out a pube, fold it in half, then fold it in half again. Ask yourself if that matters.
@@AngrySnowboarder lmfao sounds good. I appreciate the response
Took TC opinion on the ride zero with the new force bindings and it may be one of my favorite setups I’ve ever had
These or the astro asymwrap for Yes The Greats Uninc for all mountain shredding
Astro as it's more responsive.
I didn’t know they redesigned it, now I have to buy the new one too because I absolutely love the original from 2020/21
I’ve put a few hundred hours on the K2 Alchemist and I can affirm everything you said about the board is incredibly accurate. I’d say the better binding pairing is the Union Falcors rather than the Atlas though. This board in one word: Aggressive
If it's next years Falcor's sure, if it's the current ones fuck no those things are ass.
@@AngrySnowboarder I have the 20/21 Falcors on my 20/21 K2 Alchemist and I own newer Atlas bindings on a couple other boards where those are a great fit. I’m not a huge fan of changing bindings around and redialing my stance width and settings, so all my boards have bindings paired to them for the type of riding I plan to do with that particular board. I find the Falcors are a little more hyper responsive than the Atlas are and pair very well with the Alchemist. I haven’t had a single issue with the Falcors, nothings broken and as many hours as I have on that particular setup I would have for sure had something break by now with any other brand besides Rome or Union(personal experience). What’s been your issue with the current Falcors? Just curious. I’ll be getting a 24/25 set of Falcors to pair with the 24/25 Alchemist later this year before the season starts, what’s been improved?
They suck. The whole binding just fucking sucks. The ride, the straps, the highback, the fit, the flex. You can wait for the review and see or go to Unions site as I'm sure they're already selling them.
Beautiful shepherd.
Not a shepherd.
Belgian malinois?
Yep.
